I know this sounds like a really stupid question...

I have taken a few photos that I'd like to include in an email (one email...several pics). I can't quite seem to figure out how to send more than one pic using the iPhone...so I was trying to get to the files through iTunes...and it does not seem to be working at all. How do I get to the pics on the camera roll. Sorry if this is an extremely ignorant question.

I am confused by this statement, could you elaborate, perhaps by completing the thought or reference?

If you use iPhoto, and have set it to work with digital cameras, it automatically adds your photos whenever you sync your iPhone.

lol, yea I didn't get it either. Actually I think Windows is easier in this regard, as it always pops up that dialog that it detected the iPhone as a camera and asks what to do with the photos.

once you plug in the iphone in windows. . .that auto detect window pops open . . .just open window to see files and you'll see folders with your photos in them . . .you can then cut and paste to your hearts desire.

Haha, thanks. I appreciate the tip on opening Image Capture. I've been starting my XP VM and switching the iPhone over to it to get pictures off!
