I know this has been asked millions of times already, but... DOES ANYONE HAVE A CLUE TO WHEN MEMORY PRICES WILL DROP?

I think you gotta wait till it reaches ultra high prices, which no one will buy, hence a back log of inventory at the factories. From there, the company is gonna cut prices to get rid of excess inventory and from there you get cheap ram prices.

When will this happen? Maybe when a stick of 256 becomes 100+ dollars then we should start to see a sharp drop in ram purchases. :)

hmm, dont you remember like maybe what a year ago was it? when i went to kalifas and picked up the pc133 ram for like what 140? people were still heavily buying ram. back then that price was considered "cheap." plus didnt micron or whoever makes the chips run their competitors out of business by making ram prices so cheap and then now that they are out of business arent they going to CAPITILIZE off this? DAMNIT!

btw, thomas may pick up martys car.

To reply to the original question, the answer is the day after I make a major RAM purchase.
