i have a Duron 700@900 (100*9 @ 1.85v), on a KT7, with thermistor under cpu bent up to touching the back of the cpu, sitting atm at 36/37 C. Under load, it tops out at about 55/56 C. i only have PSU fan moving air through my case. hs is from a FOP32, but fan broke, so using an old fan from old hsf.

also, it will not get past Windows splash screen at 100*9.5, what could i do to get it faster?

Cheers iin advance

You must be using the older TL BIOS on your KT7 because that is one hell of a temperature jump from idle to full load. My o/c Duron only jumps up two or three degrees under full load. It generally idles at 45C or 46C and runs at 48C to 49C after playing Quake 3. Get an intake fan for your case. More airflow will help. Also, try lowering the voltage.

Run Prime95 to see how stable your chip is at 900. If it fails, back off to 850 or so, along with the core voltage. That chip probably won't be stable at 950 -- no matter what you do. You could try some higher quality RAM.
