I know nothing about wireless networks

My aunt's getting a new pc and already has a cable modem connection on her pc upstairs but she was about to spend 160 $ Can and 35 $ a month to get a 2nd internet connection for her new one downstairs. I ran over all the options with her and she seemed really unwilling to deal with any ethernet cabling concerns so I suggested wireless but I'm not too informed on the subject.

With cables i'd have only connected the 2 pc's with a crossover cable and used ICS or some other software for NAT , what would be the equivalent in wireless hardware required ?

I really dont even think they'll bother with the lan much at least for a while so sharing the internet connection is the primary concern. 2 wireless nics and a wireless hub or router or can I pull it off with less ?
