Im completely new to cellular stuff. But support is finally reaching way out here and it would help alot if I had one but as of recently i would only get 1 bar out of 5 on all phones out here. Dropped a call anytime you took a step. So now that I have support I would like to get a phone with perhaps these features:
h.264 MP4 video playback (is this possible on phones??)
Most important thing is good antenna capability. There are still sparse areas out here so the better the antenna power, the better it should be able to work.
Capability to work with Yahoo messenger.
As for type, we are on an old Digital standard (The one used just after the switch from analog networks). Compatibility needs to be centered around Cingular, Verizon, or Amp'd Mobile. They are the only services available out here and all have the same signal quality (Verizon prefered). Is there anything out there for me?
EDIT: Looks like the network is CDMA. But I cant tell whether its 800 or 1900. So to be on the safe side, the phone will have to support both.
