I looking for a site that talks about new computer features be it software to hardware. What I'm looking for is a DVDRW thats 16x. I remember reading it somewhere but I lost the site. I know this site is good for telling you whats out there but in retail based. I'm looking for a site that talks about computer features that are still in the research and development phase.

Actually, I find AnandTech has a good digest of news from the web. Look through headlines on the right side of the main page.
 
16x would be way too unstable. It would probably take two recording lasers to reach that speed, and that would increase the chances of drive failure (and double the cost).
