The ones I've oenwed I wastched a half dozen times... Great to fully imerse yourself in the movie. Need to get a dark room, surround sound, etc.

I agree, the movies are too long for repeated viewings. I can't believe I watched one of them in the theater, I usually reserve 3 hour movies for DVD rental. But my wife (at that time girlfriend) dragged me to it. I thought the first movie was boring, the second not quite as boring, but I liked the third one.

You're right. I've seen the first one twice, the second one twice, and the third one once, with no inclination to see any of them again.

I've come to the conclusion I won't buy the DVD's either. I've got better things to spend my money on. I might find someone to lend the special editions from.

I'd say they're worth owning to watch more than once, but I'm not gonna sit down for ... 12hrs once a month... maybe once a year.

i watched the first one in the theater, the second one.. not in the theater (copyright infringement is bad. you'll go to hell), and never watched the third. i have zero motivation to see the first two again or even to see the third for the first time.
