It's simple, really. All music sucks, doesn't matter what genre, artist, or whatever, it all is shit. A few of them are willing to grant an exception if its Tool or anything related to Tool.

um... thats not country... thats pop/rock. you need your ears checked. 404 twang not found! country is not as highly compressed and has more dynamic range.

might as well be.
furthermore, there are 'country' songs that use vocoders.
commercial rock and commercial country are basically the same homogeneous crap.
ie, kid rock, nickleback etc etc.

Never liked nickleback or the song but I like the video montage. I think this video stands out.

Are you shitting me? Not once have I seen Nickleback lumped into the "country" genre. It's pop-rock crap.

Then again, their song "Someday" is actually kinda catchy :p

Absolutely classic. I love the collage.

Just admit it, some of you actually like it (or one/more of their songs) but are just too afraid to proclaim it because you think that it will mean the rescinding of your cool card by all the others sitting in judgment of you.

It's ok. I'm here to tell you that you too can admit to liking something that isn't popular. You don't need others to validate your self worth.

Go ahead, take the first step. Proudly admit that you actually like/enjoy something that you think the rest of ATOT will shun you for. They really won't because they all have their own dark secret that goes against all they proclaim to be cool.

You can do it!!! :D

There is a tonne of "not cool" crap that I like, and I have no problem admitting it, but Nicklecrap is by far one of the worst bands I've ever heard in the history of recorded music.

KT

not saying I care for them, but how many cds have you released on major record labels? ;)

I couldn't make it on a major label because they are busy putting out retarded crap like Nicklecrap.

OMG, they're popular so they must suck!

Whatever. I typically hate bands that are popular, but I like Nickelback. Sue me. I like running to their music as well as Disturbed, Metallica, P.O.D., Godsmack and several others.

People who like or dislike anything by virtue of what the crowd, cool or not, likes or dislikes are far more pathetic than anyone who likes something and admits it.

"I like local music only." Well, sorry, but they're local because they suck in about 98% of the cases. For the other 2%, I agree.*

I just wish we had a real rock station in Baltimore. It's sad to say that the rock station in Dayton was much better than what we have here (97.9). How in Hell is something in Dayton, OH, better than anything anywhere else?? ;)

*These percentages were pulled from my ass so don't start yelling about how many more local bands are talented.

No, they suck because every song sounds exactly the fucking same. The singer's voice is obnoxious and their lyrics are inane.

I like lots of popular bands and I don't give a crap who knows, but fucking Nickleback is an abomination.
