I know it depends on many factors, but how far will it go? (duron OC)

Hey..I'm getting a duron (for a second rig) in a few days..mainly because I'm outta cash for its bigger tbird brother, and because I'm waiting for the palominos. So anyhow, I can only find Durons with clock speeds of 600 and 750.I'll get the 750 MHz one, but approximately, how far would it go? I mean, I have 950 in mind, and it should hit 950..But can or might it hit 1000 ? will be running on an MSI K7T Turbo.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: will be cooled using a GlobalWin FOP 32 fan, standard radioshack thermal paste, and a well ventilated case (fan blowing right at the processor).

i think that with your specs, you can overlock that duron to a 950-1000, stabile. Maybe a little higher if you are lucky but don't count on it :).

950MHz is a reasonable expectation with a 750MHz Duron. I had a 600 that overclocked (stable) to 900MHz on an Abit KT7 mobo. I now have a 700 that is stable at 1083MHz (10.5*103) on the same board.

I'd say 950+ is quite doable. My 800 is at 998 as I just backed it back off 1007 because of a couple small issues that went away with 1mz less. I use a fop32 with an 80mm fan in a big case with 3 case fans.
