I know I shouldn't say this but why do jerks always seem to be in positions of power?

Example: My current boss is a really mean man who lies cheats and steals to get what he wants (mind you, these are his own words... he's very proud of it). I can barely tolerate being around him, mostly because of him constantly trying to demonstrate his power to any and everyone (including me). It's repulsive and I can barely manage to keep myself from walking out... I tell ya, if my wife didn't have ITP and my daughter didn't have a seizure disorder (can't change jobs because of the disruption of insurance would kill us) I would have let him know how I feel and long since left!

BTW... sometime the only thing that cheers me up is coming here and talking with all of you! You don't know how many times some of the funny comments here have turned my day around... it's sounds kind of pathetic but I really love you all here... save Paulson ( teehee 🙂 ) and I genuinely consider most of you friends. That's not to say I don't have a lot of personal friends (I actually sometimes feel I have to many of those) but most people here just seem to be more genuine and open and honest.. I value that a great deal.

Anyways, my boss was an exceptional jerk to me today but by the time I was at the bottom of the Deep Impact thread I was laughing and felt a lot better. 🙂

Because nice guys finish last.

Yes Russ is right nice guys finish last. Ugh. This a*hole last year always got the best looking girls and yet us nice guys who aren't bad looking (well atleast my current girlfriend thinks I'm cute) never get any girls (usually) ...

I know what you mean. Like, sometimes posting my problems or just listening to other people makes me feel better. Getting it off my chest helps + just talking to you people. You guys/gals have great personalaties and nice to talk to ..

They are the ones we notice the most because they seem to want to make sure I notice them? Know what I mean?

I skimmed the title and only picked up three words the first sweep.." jerk, power, positions", and what I thought was the word "off"

lol

but in regards to your question...Conflict breeds change...and jerks initiate more conflict
