I know, I know, BUT: Make a games forum!!!

I just wish people would stop posting about games in every other forum just because that's the only subforum they visit... If they like games, they need to visit the software forum then.
 
We DO [finally] need a SEPARATE forum for JUST games - especially with the new consoles coming out. 😉

Games are the driving force behind this message board and a great deal of PC tech in general, but they really shouldn't be the focus of discussion IMO. The local EB is a great place for that. I'm surprised this board even has OT. Does anyone know of a highly intellectual video discussion board with relatively few fervent fanboys?

fanboys find the highly intellectual ones too. There are some really smart supporters of nVidia and ATi who would die rather than admit the other has a compelling product. 😛

AT's Video is actually pretty good - there are some really talented posters there [who DO frequent the "intellectual" boards] - IF you can ignore the flames and don't ming "picking and choosing" among the posters . . . the "children" are easy to spot [if hard to ignore]. 😉

OT was created because people were posting large amounts of...well OT topics in GHW.
Kinda like a honey pot 🙂
 
It's kind of hard to separate game discussion from the video forum since, around here at least, they are the second most important reason for having a high powered video card.

If you aren't discussing anything related to the graphics of the game on a technical basis, then it does not apply.
