Onkyo is a good value for someone who doesn't want to spend $1,000+, that looks like a good choice.

Go for it, the refurb is only $559 once you sign up for club onkyo and use your 10 signup points.

I wish this was available when I bought my dad a refurb'd S790 a few months ago. The HDMI & DVD player would've been worth the extra money.

Onkyo is the way to go unless you can get your hands on a decently priced SLS Q-Line. Best Buy was clearing them out a few months back and I picked one up for under $300. You could check with your local BB to see if they have any left in stock, otherwise go for the Onkyo.

I don't know why so many people hate on HTIB's. Onkyo makes very nice HTIB's, I had a $399 one and was very pleased with it

HTIBs get a bad rap cause of all the ones with the intergrated dvd player and reciever. Those are terrible and make up the bulk of what is advertised as a HTIB. Onkyos are more like home theather systems with a dvd player.
