I know how to cook "real food"; but Hamburger Helper is still the bomb.

I consider myself a decent cook. Especially when it comes to Italian food. But sometimes, I just don't feel like devoting 3+ hours to the prepping/cooking/eating process. Sometimes, I just want to cook and eat, quickly.

For times such as these, there's Hamburger Helper. AKA "The Bachelors' Gormet Beef" 😀

H.H. can be spiffied-up. For example, tonight, I made Beef Pasta variety, but to it, I added one 16-ounce can of regular corn. Not only adds a different flavor and texture, but now my dinner has three food groups; meat, starch and veggies. 😀

The $.99 generic brand at walmart is pretty decent. The beef stroganoff with an extra couple scoops of sour cream is pretty tasty.

The local grocery chain in TX is "HEB". They have a store-brand called "Hill Country Fare." It's also $.99 and identical to the name-brand H.H.

Hell yeah. I love making big, complex dinners but sometimes a bowl of ground beef and pasta is what really hits the spot. 🙂

I love that stuff.

Damn, we agree on something!

Don't make me come into neochat and smack your ass! That stuff is disgusting if you use the whole package of the mixture. Too salty, bleh.

That's why you wash it down w/mass quantities of beer. Kills the saltiness AND aids digestion. 🙂
