I know how to convert Divx to VCD, how do I convert XVid to VCD?

Do I follow the same steps? Does it even make any difference? Anyone ever converted Xvid to VCD without ripping a hole in the space time contium? Please advise.

I think the easiest way would be with TMPGEnc. You *should* be able to just open the file and re-encode it as a vcd

The easiest would be to use Dr. DivX. the only problem is it's not a freeware. For a freeware solution, TMPGEnc is the way to go.

I agree, TMPGEnc. But theres actually a couple settings you might want to change to make it work better. Found this on some website a while back, maybe you can locate it.

Under Option->Environmental Settings->Vfapi Plug-in tab
Make your settings look something like this.
