but why is there always that underlying fear that we're gonna get kicked out/fail out??

I have at least 10 friends who are stressing over finals...and their away messages are all "i'm gonna fail out of college", "I'll get kicked out!", "I'm going to fail!!!" ...and so on.

why are college people always so afraid of not doing well on final exams and failing out? shouldn't you KNOW if you're in danger of failing out by midterms??

i think by midterms they know it but dont wanna admit it to themselves, thinking that they can pull their grade up by finals.......but come finals time, i think they are beyond desparation
 
I didn't get too worked up over finals b/c I'm like Fonzie....and what's Fonzie like?.......Come on, what's Fonzie like?

i already graduated from college and i still have nightmares where i failed a final or it was the night b4 the final and i didnt know jack...!!
 
I never really had that feeling, because I didn't wait until the end of the semester to start caring about my grades like 90% of other students. 😛

It's not that I was overly nerdy, it's just that I would study my ass off for mid-terms (the night before the exam, anyway) as well as finals.

i have dreams where i forget i'm enrolled in the class til after finals. probably comes from my real life experiences where i've forgotten about a class until after midterms. it's not a fun feeling when you go to class and they're passing out the results of the midterm exam... that you never took..

This pretty much says it all.

I've had classes where my grades went from an A to a C+...🙁:Q🙁

This semester I had my physics grade go from a B to a C. I freaked/froze when I took the final (it's physics, i was literally having nightmares about the exam. especially since I completely didn't understand the last homework. I still don't know how to find the lagrangian/equations of motion of a MOVING spinning top). Couldn't think, frozen in fear most of the time, sweating...wasn't good.

Sigh...
 
While I was always at risk of failing a final, I was never at risk of failing out of school because of failing a final or two. I never let them bother me.

Bah. A past roommate came back from the brink of getting kicked out of school due to lackluster grades by pleading his case to the dean. Twice. It turns out that if you have the money to back you up, and aren't a total screw-up, you won't get kicked out of school. In the worst case, you'll have to retake the class, which you can usually do at a community college over the summer (for cheaper, mind you). So go ahead...show up to the final as drunk as a monkey; it's all good.
