I know dedication is good, but I just can't see pay thousands per month to run a website.

I know some people get a kick out of having a following on the web and being an e celebrity, but I can't understand those guys who dish how hundreds and thousands per month to run their personal website. Like that Off-topic.net dude. He pays around $1500/month for that website. No adveritising, no nothing. Or Lowtax, probably pays hundreds in hosting. I don't get it. If that is a hobby, then that is a very expensive hobby.

I pay $20 a month for 3GB of space and 45GB/ month of bandwidth through dathorn.com. Custom nameservers is a big perk as are the amazing WHM and cPanel :)

You could go less and do Dixiesys or Ripplehost too. Ripplehost is like $10 a YEAR I think.

Lowtax pays hundreds? Think again. That place is a huge money suck but he makes some $ back off donations and sales of SA stuff. There usually is a donation thread started by someone whenever he has to buy a new server.
