I know Apex sux, but look at this price.

reviews don't look to bad, all except that one asshat who gave it a 1 out of 5 because it didn't have VGA or DVI on it (did he read the specs?!)

ya, that is pretty stupid for knocking a product for not having something it never claimed to have.

We bought that tv for 400-500 bucks, good tv. Great Picture, and Great Sound. A great deal it was.

ya, i was really pissed i didn't pull the trigger on that deal. i was soo close to doing it too.

The Amazon specs say it doesn't have a line doubler. In that case, the picture would suck big time especially at 65". I'd rather get a quality 50" at that price.

I havent heard anything bad about Apex, except from people think that you have to spend high amounts of money to get a good product, and cant be happy with getting a deal on a decent product. I have been thinking about picking on of these up.

you don't need line doubler for HD signal🙂

and i'm sure they'll have it soon. hell, 30 dollar dvd players have progressive scan output these days.

so if i understand correctly, this tv will work fine for DVD's and HDTV channels but not so well for regular tv stations. yes??

When I see a product review like this:
THE BEST PRICE EVER FOR A 65" TV, June 11, 2003
Reviewer: JIMMY from BIRMINGHAM, AL United States
I THINK THE PRICE IS JUST GREAT AND FROM WHAT I'VE BEEN TOLD THE APEX TV IS ONE OF THE BESTS, THANK YOU ALL FOR THE GREAT PRICE AND I WILL BE ON THIS WEB SITE FOR EVER
it makes me nervous about purchasing said product. 😛

Don't worry man, there are idots like that in every state!

Go ahead and spend $1400 on an Apex product (don't ask me why).

You'll be kicking yourself if it breaks and you can't get service. They don't answer their phone half the time and they lie. Good luck.

Sounds exactly like Sony.

My friend actually bought this TV and what i've seen so far..... its pretty damn nice for the price.

We got an Apex 27" flatscreen TV back in Christmas of 02 from Circuit City with the MSN dollars thing going. Came out to under $150 I think with the MSN dollars taken into account. It works fine and the picture quality is actually pretty decent (a lot better than I was expecting anyway). It doesn't have component inputs but I doubt most people could see much of a difference between svideo and component on a 27" non-hdtv capable set.

Is it honestly worth the potential headach? Or just spend a bit more for a quality manufacture?

There's reasons why most people don't buy a kia!

Better yet For you RaiseUP!

Start reading through the reviews. The more recent ones show people getting tv's that have all sorts of problems.

lol my roommate bought a 20" apex TV from circuit city at the beginning of the year for $90. By far the WORST tv I've ever seen. HORRIBLE sound, I think the speaker cone might have been cracked. Certain frequencies, mostly lower, turned all the audio into a buzz. The picture was decent for the price, no frills colors kinda sucked, and it had only 1 composite video in.

I'll never buy an Apex product again.
