So I get home from dinner and there are 4 firetrucks and a fire marshal in front of my building. WTF is going on today?! Looks like something was going on with the restaurant downstairs, no smoke though.

Ok, maybe inconvenience is a bad word.. what about the fact that they splatter their guts/brains/parts so that others have to view it or clean it up. I try to avoid seeing brain matter, if it happens it happens, but dont force it on me please.

I used to take the 4/5/6 every day before college. Nothing like that ever happened. What a dumb way to go.

I went on NY1.com and couldn't find it. Got a link?

I don't think it's a bad word.

When someone's standing on a bridge threatening to jump, it holds up traffic, thereby inconveniencing hundreds of people.

When someone jumps out in front of a train, it inconveniences the person who has to clean your remains up and the people on the train who are diverted.

When someone drives an SUV on to train tracks, and then chickens out, but leaves the car there, it not only inconveniences people on the train, but also killed 11 people and injured many more.

Ok, I'm not insane. Finally, some mention of this in the news. Another person got killed by a 6 train yesterday. Some woman went down on the tracks to get her purse and got killed. There was a little blurb in AMNY this morning about it, and the last sentence mentioned that a guy jumped in front of a 6 at Canal St and was killed on Tuesday.

Edited to remove bashing of woman killed yesterday -- she was mentally handicapped and may not have been aware of the danger. :(

Reminds me of a guy that jumped in front of an Express train when I was Fireman up there.

I had to hose off everything in sight, from rooftops, trees, everything.

Like the OP said, the smell, well unforgettable.

Could have been worse, someone dumped a naked guys body in the middle of I-10 westbound lanes in Tempe/Chandler area once.

Probably close to a million people take that interstate to work every morning. The rocket scientist police closed the interstate for half the day a workday morning. I took me 4 hours going through backroads to bypass that area.

it just goes to show you it wouldn't take much for terrorists to really fuk us over and cause mass hysteria. They could take out any of our lifeline roads and people would be sh!tting bricks cause they're stuck.
