Jumped on a 6 at City Hall after leaving a client's downtown, anticipating a slow ride uptown, but having a seat. Go for a little while, start to pull into Canal St station, train SLAMS on the brakes. Sit around for 15 minutes or so, no announcement from conductor, but notice car in front of mine is unloading into the station (that car had actually made it to the station). Move to that car, get out, MTA employee is telling everyone to keep moving, somebody jumped in front of the train. Walk to exit, cops, paramedics and firefighters are POURING into the station. You can smell...uh...I'd rather not think about what I was smelling. Get outside, it looks like a warzone. Cop cars, firetrucks everywhere, 4 choppers hovering above.

Grab an M1 bus uptown, ride for almost an hour and a half (packed like a sardine since 4 5 and 6 service was suspended as far as I could tell) to 79th st, walk crosstown to 1st Ave, get home, post on AT ;). Ugh. I'm going get a drink with my gf. That was crazy.

Wow, that's terrible. Did this happen tonight? I rode the 6 from 51st to 86th without a problem at around 6:45.

At least your guy killed only himself. Ours chickened out after slitting his wrists and stabbing himself in the chest. Jerk

Another reason I'm glad I don't live there.

Over an hour and a half to get home is nuts.

Would it be inappropriate for me to post 42 in this thread? You've done it to me.

Come on baby, do the locomotion...
I know you?ll get to like it if you give it a chance now,
Come on baby, do the locomotion...

My little baby sister can do it with ease,
It?s easier than learnin your abc,
So come on, come on, do the locomotion with me...
