False. Many species grieve after the loss of a mother, child, or another animal that they have constant close contact with (or even the loss of the human they lived with.) Elephants have more of a death ritual - the thing referred to above - that's not seen in most other species (I think dolphins do something special too.)

Bah, I love elephants for what they are, they're intelligent and caring, can't say that about human. Why do they have perform ridiculous tasks for us so we can appreciate them? We can program a robot to paint an elephant too. Elephants are elephants, not people.
