I killed my cell phone

yeah, so I was a moron and washed my cell phone while it was on. Lo and behold it doesnt work know. First off, is there any way it might work in the future?

Assuming it doesnt, when I get a new phone, do I only have to replace the SIM card with my old one? Is there anything else I have to do to make sure the phones knows which carrier, etc...?

I did the same thing a few months ago. The phone was completely dead, but the SIM card was fine. Just make sure you get it out and dry as soon as possible.

lol, by washed I meant I left it in the pocket of my shorts.

Is there anything else I have to do besides replace the SIM card?

get a new phone that is compatible with your carrier. i.e. if you have tmobile, dont get a cingular phone. you will have to pay 25$ to unlock the phone if you do. but other than that, nopes just put in the sim card and you are good to go.

I washed my old Samsung slip phone (S105) and it worked fine after I took out the battery and took it apart and dried it methodically. However, it did need to be charged again as the wash completely discharged the battery. The color screen had a permanent bubble in it after that.. but it really did work fine.
