I killed my brother's betta fish today. My bro went on a random road trip last week, but even before that he's been kind of neglecting the fish tank. So my mom and I decided to clean the tank and the replace the water, and condition it and all that jazz. Except when we did it, I guess we didn't seat the bottom of the filter quite all the down under the pebble bedding. So little fishy decided today, after a few days of being nice and happy, to wiggle itself under the filter under some space between the pebbles and the filter bed, and get sucked up into the tube. :disgust: Hilarity did not ensue. Even if the water was a bit dirty, it would have probably been fine if my mom and I left it the hell alone until my brother got back. The fish had sentimental value for him, and while I can't replace it, I'm going to get my bro another betta anyways. Any recommendations on a specific kind? He has a decent tank and filter and everything.

Cliffs: I killed my brother's fish.

& BTW, LoKe has already called your bro to tell him about this, so don't even think you'll get away with this...;)

Haha, my brother actually was the one to tell me. He was pisT but didn't really blame my mother or me since it was well intentioned. He blames himself, which makes me feel even worse. Bah.

Don't feel bad, you didn't kill the fish. Government agents snuck in in the middle of the night and killed it because it was getting too close to the truth.

Duct tape "dumb ass" to the dead fish and throw it back in the tank.

I once boght a betta for a community tank. Turns out that mr. betta isnt fery friendly and insits on flaring its gills and fins at everythign in the tank (including my angel fish which is abt literally 8 times its size) so I decided that it might like to hang out with some of my more agressive fish in the other room. Turns out that he didnt get along too well with the pihrana... Guess who won
