I set my alarm clock for 6, and go to bed at 10.

However, I keep waking up sometime between 4 and 5, after which I still feel tired, but cannot fall asleep, or I end up falling asleep at almost 6 and then missing my classes for that day.

Any sleeping tips?

I keep waking up at 3. So I'm completely fried half way through the day at work. Sucks.

I sleep on an inflatable bed. But I recently bought a real one that should be arriving in a few weeks. The inflatable bed is pretty comfortable though.

sleep at 10? That's 6 healthy hours. I heard from Psych that the human mind is most comfortable sleeping in 3 hour stages... 3, 6, 9. I don't know why the norm is supposed to be 8.

You can try going to bed an hour later to see if you can get an extra hour in there...

Same thing happens to me, but it's because I have to pee. It's like clockwork at 3 or 4AM every morning. :(

Exercise more and eat less junk food. Don't eat after 6pm or so. Turn your computer off like a half hour or an hour before bed, the light from the monitor is a brain stimulant.

hmmm I keep waking up at 1AM :(
Then I get really tired at 5AM.. and then I have to get up for class at 9:30..
Then I will feel really tired at 1PM.
There was one time I actually had a good night sleep from 12PM to 9AM, after I had a good day's rest from 4PM to 7PM.. then I fell asleep again at 2PM to 5PM..
5AM now.. time to sleep..

Yeah, me too. I *never* used to have that problem, but now I do. I've even tried not drinking so much before I go to bed but it doesn't work.

I hate to think it's because I'm getting older - but it probably is :(.

anxi80, I guess thats because you want to wake up on time. Alarm clocks are for people who just set it and wake up with it. But with people like you, if you are willing enough everyday, you could wake yourself up on time everyday. That's just my theory though, I haven't read it anywhere.

if im watching a movie or tv or something and i hear that noise, i shudder because i cant stand that sound. it doesnt help that i dont get any radio station reception in here, so i have to deal with it.

ill buy that. i know people who dont own an alarm clock, go to sleep at odd hours, and always seem to wake up when they need to, whether it be 3am or 8am. guess its more of a mental thing and how relaxed and clear your mind is before going to sleep.
