I could be doing anything and the next thing you know I'm sniffing my fingers.

:(

That's odd. I just sniffed mine and I could smell a ban coming on.

obsessive compulsive much?

on a related note, a friend of mine's dog is OC, it's amusing...whenever anyone walks in the door he automatically goes to his food bowl after figuring out who it is and grabs a piece of food, then takes it back into the living room to eat it...and does that every time anyone walks on the door :D

I don't sniff my fingers, but I have a serious issue with sniffing something else. Everytime I work on my computer, change hardware, etc, there is just nothing like the scent of a motherboard, vid card, sound card, or other PCB. Ram has a pretty weak scent, but vid and sound cards, make me absolutely mental. Now gimme a motherboard, I'll get lost for a month! Ooooohhhh, baby! ;)

Then, on the other side of the coin, is the smell of that cheapie power supply just before it starts to completely die......that fried circuitry smell.

I ocassionally do this also. I have an uncle who always smells food before putting it in his mouth, even if it's something as simple as brownies. Reminds me of "Everybody Loves Raymond" where Ray's brother always puts food to his chin
