to upgrade my winamp to 5.04..... is this version of 5 any better than the original resource-hogging winamp 5?

Winamp 3 was a disaster, the whole Winamp 5 series are actually decent.

IMO, 5 is much better than 2.91.

That link has the workaround to use without updating....I like my 2.91 and I'm sticking with it!
