I keep getting banned and unbanned, is anyone else experiencing this?

I've been a user here for quite a while, and just recently I've been getting some strange problems. Sometimes I'm banned from posting on AT, and other times AT will work fine. I emailed the Mods here (when I was banned) and they said I wasn't, or maybe a problem with my ISP (which again wasn't the problem). This is kinda strange, so I took a screenshot of when I was banned. I was banned again yesterday, and just now I'm unbanned so before I get banned again, I'd like to know if anyone has this problem or knows what to do.

Here's the picture of me banned now
edit: I'm on a DSL connection.

Is your IP dynamic or static? What company do you have your DSL with? If your IP is dynamic, perhaps it keeps going into a banned IP range every so often. I can't think of any other reason why

I think I'm dynamic, but it's never happened before. Since about 1 1/2 years ago since I joined it's never happened. I'm guessing AT blocked some *.sympatico.ca addresses?

AFAIK (I'm not a mod though) they ban the actual IP ranges b/c there are several other members using sympatico as well. I'd just suggest next time you're banned that you use winipcfg (or some other IP utility) to write down your IP and email the mods to see if thats in a banned IP range. I honestly don't know enough about how banning works to give any further suggestions :(

In Windows XP (and probably 2000), you should use the ipconfig command. Otherwise, RB has excellent advice.
