I keep getting 15FPS :(

Before I get around 50-60 FPS and today I'm getting 10-15 FPS non stop. This never happened before. I can't play Diablo 3 at all now because of the laggyness. Does anyone know what's wrong? Really appreciate the help! 🙂

...did you reboot, make sure a backup wasn't running, no stuck programs, system updates, virus scanning trashing your disc, etc.?

Diagnostics: Benchmark everything and compare to baseline established when you built the system?

Fixed. Did a 1 day system restore and it's fixed now. Not sure why this happened in the first place. 😳

Well, okay, you could do that too. 🙂
FML! It's f**king up again! 🙁
Waaaaaw. I done everything you stated above but what do you mean by 'Diagnostics: Benchmark everything and compare to baseline established when you built the system?' I'm not on a PC, I'm on an MSI laptop. 😳

An MSI laptop is a PC, for these purposes.

The assumption is that when you got the system, you ran some benchmarks on it to establish a baseline. Then, when there's a problem, you can rerun the same benchmarks to identify the source of the issue. (Specific benchmarks would identify particular components that are behaving badly, and then you can troubleshoot those components.)

If you didn't, you can still get useful information from benchmarking, but only by comparing the results to published results online. (You've probably seen threads around here where somebody posts a benchmark result and says something to the effect of, "hey guys, is this right?")

But I would start by upgrading your nVidia drivers to the latest version from nVidia. (Not MSI.)

Do you play any other games besides Diablo 3? Are they performing OK? There are several observations in the forums about problems with lagginess on D3. This is where I hate the always on line requirement, could be you internet or server issues, and you cant test in offline mode.

Is it plugged in, or running on battery? Could be a charger / speedstep issue if the charger / jack is damaged.

Most "gaming" laptops only run full-speed when the AC power is plugged in.

If you CTRL - ALT - DEL and choose Task Manager you can check for some process that is using up all of your CPU time.

Show processes for all users, sort by CPU. Normally at the desktop the "System Idle Process" should be over 90%.

Nothing wrong there. Check your temps with HWMonitor (after installed, right-click and "run as administrator"). It's also important to know if it starts @ 15fps, or gradually slows down to 15fps.
