Hey everyone.. Need alittle help.

Running:
Syntax sv266a motherbaord
AMD Athlon 1700+
512 (2x256) pc2100
ATI Radeon 9200se (128mb) or Nvidia Geforce 3 (64mb) (just put the nvidia in to see if it would help)

Anyway whenever I am playing a newer type video game such as Lineage 2 or Guild wars after several seconds to hours on end (very random) my computer will just freeze. It works fine when I am doing anything else on it or playing old type computer games and things of that nature but whenever i play a newer video game it freezes. Runnin windows xp with sp2, got all the updates. Got latest video card drivers for both cards. Running directx 9.0c. So since i have switched out my 9200se for the nivida one and it still does it im guessing its not that. I also ran the windows memory diag. tool and it found no errors so i dont think it is that either.

Any ideas?
Paul

My first guesses would be overheating or a power supply issue.

What are your CPU temps when under full load?
What power supply do you have in the computer?
Is anything overclocked in the system?

My CPU does get rather hot after its been on for a while, somewhere around 120 F.
The powersupply is just a regular raidmax 350W
And nothing is overclocked that i know of.
