Why? Why the fuck would ANYONE watch tennis?
Why? Why the fuck would ANYONE, least of all a male, watch wimmenz tennis?
No one should be surprised.
It will be a great moment for the sport when both Williams "athletes" retire.
and why is she a roid sister? because of her build or because of her emotional expression in regards to her being treated differently?I watch it because its entertaining. Glad to see one of the roid sisters go down in flames to a superior opponent.
I would say that the Williams sisters have done more for women’s tennis worldwide than any other players before them.

True. And while I agree that Serena let herself get a bit out of control, it is pretty obvious that some here are forgetting (or perhaps too young to have experienced) the way that "bad boy" players like Connors and McEnroe used to berate the chair umpire and the linesmen during their matches.
1) They were almost always penalized for it as well.
2) They may have been angry and may have acted ridiculously, but they were not questioning the integrity of the umpire during the match.
Serena stated multiple times during the match that the umpire "stole a point from her". That's questioning the umpire's impartiality, and is way over the line.
All players in all sports have a 99% chance of getting ejected for that.
She received a code of conduct penalty for coaching. While its illegal it is not enforced. The chair ump decided to make an example of her.
Later when the network did a split screen it was clear she didn't see her coaches gesture. At that point the chair ump should have warned her of the results for additional conduct penalties. Racket smash was the second resulting in a point penalty. It was clear she didn't realize that would happen.
She accused the chair ump of stealing her point and called him a thief. Again the chair ump had discretion on enforcement and shoes strict enforcement. Some consideration should have been given to her trying to tie the Grand Slam title record. oft of like giving a Jordan rule for tennis. Stars are always afforded additional consideration.
In each case a warning prior to a penalty would have been the more appropriate approach
I wanted equal treatment and that would have been not to enforce for her as well. You know in all sports champions get deference. I don't always like it but why should she be excluded.So...special treatment? Isn’t that as discriminatory as the sexism she’s accusing the judge of showing
