They pretty much explained everything in the end... Travolta was working with the special unit, with Samuel L. Jackson and the rest of the guys.

edit: yea that's his name! samuel jackson.

You are bound to watch Pulp Fiction for the next 24 hours. How in the world can you not know who sam jackson is?

Who was that guy in Top Gun, and Minority Report again? 😉 🙂 (j/k btw)

LMAO--that was a funny thread. Sorry about your memory problem though. It could the ATOT overlaod is finally getting you?

I just watched it ... and am a bit confused, but I have no urge to replay it for 2 hours to understand it more.

So the bad guys were all the ones who ended up dead at the end? Anyone not still alive at the round table in the end with section 8 was a bad guy who did the drug trafficking ?

Let's see... that's Mueler (the redneck), the captain (Tim Daly), and Giovanni Ribisi being the bad guys... miss anyone ?

I was pretty confused by the end as well, with no intent to watch it again. It was billed in previews as being this cool, big action movie, and the actual thing was pretty slow for the most part.

and shaft!

The whole time we were trying to match the names with the faces because they refer to each other by last name all the time during their flashback stories. To add to the confusion, they tell multiple stories with different people going against each other. Then just when you think you have it all... they swap the names on you as *THE BIG TWIST* ... and then even after that ... section 8 comes into the picture and you'd get an even bigger headache. They go on to explain who's who in the end and that people aren't even dead and a couple of the names were made up.

I mean... it's brilliant and all, but execution was tough to follow with just a mental picture...

From what I remember, everyone on the outing except Giovanni Ribisi and the redneck guy were Section 8. The redneck guy, Ribisi, the Doctor and the Colonel (forget his name) were in on the drug ring. But they didn't know who the head guy was, so the whole rest of the setup was to figure out who the head dude was. Eventually they figured out it was the Colonel (I think that was his rank).

All in all, a pretty disappointing movie, but not terrible.
