I saw it and loved it . Was really surprised the dogs lasted as long as they did if it was true.

Good movie but it is too predictable. My emotion started when they guy have to fly out without the doggies and by the time the doggies set themself free my emotion is already over because u already know what will be happen.

It's based off of a 1958 Japanese expedition to Antarctica. It was made into the 1983 film 'Nankyoku Monogatari' (aka Antarctica).

Another of Hollywood's fascination with remakes. Although this one was good. The original movie still ranks high on alltime boxoffice gross in Japan.
