Craziness! There is an online poker place(of course real money) that I play sometimes. I normally stay at the .25 cent tables, but sometimes hand will get over a hundred. I sat down at the high stakes table just in time to watch a guy lose 75k(pair or 6's and 9's) to a Heart suited Flush. Wow

Want craziness? Watch the world series of poker some time. This year I watched a a guy go all in with about 3 mil in chips in front of him. I can't remember what he was holding but it was a pretty worthless hand which he ended up losing.

I do watch the World Series of Poker, but it's a little different watching it in real time when no one is a professional, there are no cameras, and someone loses that much money.

Didn't the guy that won the WSoP in the last couple years get there as a wild card entry from one of those online competitions or something?
I can't imagine losing $75K online to people I can't even see, but he can probably afford it.

He might have. I'm playing in a tournament soon that promises 10 spots to the WSoP. It would be nuts if I got in. Actually I just went and looked back over it. I got that tourney confused with the freeroll tournament, but there is a tourney that lets you get to the WSoP.

I wouldn't be spending 75k online for any gambling. If you're going to be spending that much why not go to vegas and get your vacation comp'ed because you're spending so much?

its not 75k of real money.

If it is a physical tournament, the buy in is usually really low, but you get a higher number of chips, and the prizes are set for 1,2,3,etc.

Example: recently in a tournament a guy won with 830k in chips, but the first place prize was 100k...

edit: and i've seen pots of 300k+ be lost before, between two people, so thats atleast 150k from one person.

The fvck it isn't real money. I play on same of the same tables(not at those stakes) and it IS REAL MONEY. It may not be that way in the WSoP or in other tourneys, but this is just regular ole Texas Holdem between people. It IS real money.

In the wsop, you'll note they don't call it 75 thousand dollars in chips, they call it 75 thousand in chips.

Oh by the way, the oreos? Don't touch xx :p Also, if you watch carefully, when KGB throws the oreos, one of them bounces and hits Gramma in the hat LOL
