Doing an upgrade is a huge undertaking as it was last time and I am sure it was before. Everybody was bitching and moaning about things not working. Well thats just how it is so tough sh!t. Over the next few days the anandtech staff will be working out all the bugs and once they do our free posting expierence will only be better. Instead of being children we should just post the bugs without being anus's. It will all be over soon.

The problem is that it isn't bugs that make it worse. It's like going from 98SE -> WinMe.

For me:

Can't view threads in descending order.
Don't like popup box for replying.
Feels less snappy when responding/reading.
Custom title problems (bugs).
Layout feels less efficient (maybe I'll get used to it).
Edit: Popup box for editing posts.

FuseTalk used to be my favorite software for boards. Now it's taken a big step back.

Agreed. I want to offer my thanks to the anandtech staff too... As a software developer myself I know how hard it is to upgrade a live system and there is bound to be some problems... We should post the problems we find to help the staff locate the bugs, but no need to b!tch about them...

Thanks again anandtech staff!

Like the forums or not, I do appreciate all the work you guys put in to improving it in any ways you can.

...so do the new forums come with new mods? ;)

The only reason I can think of for thanking the mods is that the new layout is so annoying that it might limit the amount of time I tie up here.

In general, I really appreciate AT as a resource and community, but this new upgrade just sucks IMO.

Xionide, thats a hell of a pair of kneepads you have. Wanna service some other people while your using them?
I cant really say thanks, cause its been my experience when we implement an upgrade it makes the systems better. Such is not the case with this upgrade. I dont like the color, I dont like the font, I dont like the post spaces. So, while I can appreciate the work that goes into an upgrade, I cant say thanks as this upgrade HASNT made it a better system in any way I can see. Well, other then the new smilies, I like those.
