Im getting a Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86GHz and dark messiah requires Pentium® 2.2 GHz (3 GHz recommended). This referres to Pentium 4 correct? So i should have no problem running this?

Yea, I remember seeing this question asked alot back when AMD's were still the thing to have. You be able to run it fine. Those C2D's are fantastic chips.
 
Since any C2D is right around 20% faster than any A64, when both are running at exactly the same speed, and a 2.0 Ghz A64 is as fast as a 3.0 Ghz P4, an E6300 would be fast enough if you ran it seriously underclocked.😉
