I just voted for the first time! (18 years old)

It was painless and quick. I left any sections that I wasn't informed about blank (no sense in voting for someone just b/c they're Democratic or Republican, right?) and I got my "I voted" sticker.

Okay, congratulate me now. :D

you did the right thing, its better to not vote one candidate/issue than to vote for something bad

kinda makes you wonder WTF is wrong with florida, doesnt it?

Well, all the people working the polls were really old (I've been a poll worker before too for a community service project, so I know that ALL election workers are old). I think if those same people were voting instead of working, that would be what Florida is like.

Actually, we were filling in bubbles. I had good practice with that taking the SAT. :D

Really, though, I educated myself about the U of M Regents and governor and senators, but for things like MSU Regents and Wayne State Regents, and judges (which I admittedly didn't read up on), I left blank. And Amish, I'd consider myself quite educated.

I sent in my voter registration a few days ago, forgot all about it since I turned 18 in August. You need to wait something like 30 days from the time your registration is accepted.
