What's the big deal? I've taken sudafed + claritin + benadryl before. No biggie. Works pretty well.

Wasn't sure. I've never taken anti-histamine medicine before so I'm not sure what I should know.

Benadryl can make you sleepy. Sudafed can in some people too, but it's less common. Sudafed can cause elevated heart rate. Those are the main things I've experienced with those medications. Claritin D is both an anti-histamine and decongestant. Since you took benadryl you took two antihistamines... one short-acting (benadryl) but more potent, and one long-acting (claritin).

Thanks. how long does it take for Benadryl's drowsiness to kick in? It's been a while and I'm not feeling sleepy. I didn't even sleep last night, either. I had a couple/3 energy drinks butu they shouldn't be in effect now, right...?

i'm pretty sure i did that once by mistake.
forgot i took a dose already ...took another.
i didn't feel good...tired..jumpy.....worse than the allergy really. i find zyrtec works better for me than claritin. but its basically depends on the person. some people do better with one than the other. good to have options.

Your fine.

Benadryl aka diphenhydramine does nothing for me.
Doesn't make me sleepy or help with allergies.
About like a sugar pill for me.
