Actually, for me, it was the other way around. I watched the hot deals forum for a year or so before I actually signed up. I was there once or twice a week for another year. Then, I discovered ATOT.

During the dot com boom, companies would just give stuff away. There were tons of deals all over the place. Good times :D

The golden era of hot deals. Today's "hot deals" are nothing to what once was.

Value America anyone? :D

oh yeah. i remember value america. i wasn't even browsing the AT forums back then... i always thought i was responsible for bringing down that company. i forgot where i found about that one, but boy was that one AWESOME.

getting EVERYTHING for half price and signing up multiple accounts, and then they messed one order up and sent me everything twice... good times.

you sign up an account with a new email, they give you $100 to use. but everything was half price, so you get anything they sell for almost half price

i remember buying the dreamcast right then and there, it was recently out, and retails for 200, i got for 100.

imagine now, getting the 360 at half price. thats how big a boner i got back then over this. i practically spent a night signing up accounts literally like this and they didn't flag it:

ekkc01@hotmail.com
ekkc02@hotmail.com
ekkc03... you get the idea...

i doubt something like this would ever happen again
