Stark is the worst. Totally superfluous, and really irritating.

I'm somewhere near the end of season 3, I've been watching off and on for a few months now. It's generally interesting, but sometimes I think they made this or that episode darker and edgier just to see if they could get away with it. It also tends to be a little too soap-opera for my taste. I mean, it is a space opera, and the naming is no coincidence, but sometimes they just lay it on a little thick. Sometimes I just want to time travel about a dozen years and yell MORE PEW PEW LESS QQ at the whole cast.

It's pretty good. Like some other people, I started watching it recently when it showed up on netflix. It does grow on you.

Chianna was pretty hot for having cp

What do you mean CP?

Edit: I should add that the reason I'm asking now is I just started watching "Durka Returns" and there is something very....odd, about her character.

Just started watching it, I have to say I really like it. The story line and script is really good. Acting and sets are cheesy, but the stories make up for it.

I finally got around to finishing the series. It was good overall; the characters were mostly interesting and they gradually built a good universe. They were majorly boned by idiot suits, but pulled off a hail mary with a two-part miniseries that wrapped it all up. It wasn't as good as a whole final season would have been, but was satisfying.

The show got a real budget after a season or two, but they kept the same aesthetics, and it worked well for the show. It's kinda like Doctor Who in that it had a unique understated visual style, but they put in the effort where it was needed and it showed. Michael Bay fans probably won't get it, but that shouldn't be anything new for them.

The show is really f'ed up and does not follow any normal story telling devices, which is why its so loved. They never make decisions that you think they would through our lens of normal storytelling. The first season messed with my head.

I made it about half-way through the first episode of Season 1 the other day...Not sure I'll finish it or not.
Part of me WANTS to like it...part of me is kicking me in the nuts for watching something so fucking stupid...

Yeah. I didn't like it the first time I saw it. I saw Gigi Edgley at Comic-con one year and she seemed cool, and then Claudia Black and Ben Browder ended up SG1, so I gave it another shot since it seemed I liked all the actors in it. Once you get past the puppets and Worf wannabe its fine.

I finished it just to finish it. But I have to say that outside of a few one-liners, I don't think I'll ever be watching it again. It's just too far out there/incoherent.

I liked this show a lot. I actually thought Guardians of the Galaxy aped the theme of the show pretty heavily.

Season one is kind of bumpy though, not bad but it just hasn't found its footing. A lot of my favorite shows have that problem.

Seasons 2 and 3 are some of my favorite television. I loved Scorpius in these, a lot of cool one off episodes and they do things with the story line that other shows have touched on but then copped out on.

Season 4 is pretty much horrible. I limped through to the end of it out of loyalty to the previous two seasons and the fact that Sikozu was pretty hot even if her character wasn't great. But it really was the worst. I'm not even sure there are any good one off episodes.

I was really happy the show got a proper ending in the peace keeper wars which was solid.

Lol, Guardians of the Galaxy is older than Farscape, but I can see where you are coming from, they have similarities..

It gets so much better. And not in the fucking Deep Space Nine 'lol just kidding, actually it only gets continually worse as the seasons wear on' kind of way.

There are ups and downs, but overall it is superior to most other sci-fi. DS9 is a good comparison because of how they are polar opposites, yet somehow Farscape ACTUALLY has all the things that people claim for DS9...good characters, good acting, emotional moments, doesn't put me to fucking sleep or cause murderous rage, ect ect.

Ben Browder seemed like the most useless stooge ever when I first started watching. But by season two, he is a goddamn badass and definitely made Crichton one of the best characters ever.

'Crackers Don't Matter' may be the single best episode of TV ever filmed.

"Surrender or die!" -- Crichton, badly outnumbered

It even has a real ending that makes sense, in the Peacekeeper Wars mini-series.

Love this show. I should watch peacekeeper wars again though because I don't remember how it ended.

Well...the fish out of water human in space is hardly a new trope but...

Farscape ended in 2003. The current incarnation of the Guardians didn't even show up in comics until 2008...apparently. I'm not sure how much resemblance prior teams bore to Farscape though.

Well said. Farscape and B5 trade blows for my pick of favorite sci-fi TV, the early cancellation of Farscape was actually my breaking point for cancelling cable.
