I just spilled gatorade on my wireless mouse

And now both mouse buttons and the wheel are SO STICKY holy crap. Does anyone know the best way to try to fix this problem?

Warm water? (gatorade is water soluble) Remove the battery first, if possible.

Warm distilled water so you short anything out.
