I just signed up for napster's $10 a month thing

until it works with an ipod itunes is not 'pwned,' and if the model really takes off expect itunes to change.

Honestly, their players are nice. The only reason I don't go with napster is because I like itunes.

That said, it would be interesting to see how Apple would handle a change in their BM if they decided to shift to rented music.

true. but i predict itunes will have to change its model in response to this. the value difference is huge.

edit: for me, my laptop is my mp3 player, so i'm not worried about compatibility etc.
