Sit down at my computer. All the sudden a Comcast window pops up on my desktop. I say holy fuck they busted me for allegedly "borrowing" some software. Allegedly.

Instead they are saying that if I upgrade my modem to a DOCSIS 3.0 model I will get increased internet speeds!!!

Great customer service comcast, but I still need you to replace my underwear.

It's nice that they let you know, but I would rather have an email than have a window popping up on my desktop.

Comcast sent me a couple of emails and one snail mail letter, but no popups.

I did upgrade to DOCSIS. My speed ("Performance" level) went from approx 24 to 28 Mbps. Whoop-de-doo, totally unnoticeable. Plus it was a PIA-Comcast's "customer service" couldn't do my modem switch by phone so I had to schelph it down to my local Comcast office-fortunately the guy there was very competent (he couldn't understand what problem they had either).

That's intrusive. My ISP here does that as well. A popup will appear in my browser when I hit a certain limit on my data usage. Imagine what else they can push to your computer.

Still using a refurbished Linksys CM100 and consistently get 30 Mbps, which is what I pay for. Comcast wants me to upgrade for their benefit, not mine. I pay full price just so I minimize the amount of time I spend dealing with that company and am certainly not going to change something that has and is working just fine.

Ask them if they'll credit you for all the months you paid for a speed tier that their modem was unable to deliver.

If done in response to being startled and not in a deliberate attempt to relieve pressure by farting, you simply crapped your pants. You did not "shart."

Umm, how are you guys getting popups? You have installed shitty ISP-supplied software, haven't you? Your ISP does not have any access/control to your computer to cause such a thing to happen. Unless of course you did install some of their shitty software which can give you notifications. hahaa

No software that I am aware of. A window just popped up on my screen out of nowhere. That's why I was so startled I fartshitted my pants.

They can do packet injection. I've heard of it for copyright infringement notifications.
