Am I a piece of crap for smiling when Noah died, or did everybody do that?
Anyway, it seemed like a decent B movie that tried to be profound and thought provoking. I mean I like movies that make you think, I just don't like having no idea what actually happens when the movie ends. For example, in The Truman Show, we know that Truman leaves to live a real life, and that's enough closure for me. But in The Village we don't really know whether the Elders decided to continue their ruse or give it up entirely. They've realized it's rather pointless to run from sorrow, since it will only follow you, but the final scene ended with me thinking they were going to keep it up.
