I just saw the most disturbing thing I have ever seen in my life...

On MSNBC they were interviewing students at an elite university in Pakistan, and most of the students (with smirks on their faces) stated that what happened to the United States on September 11th was good and just. One woman in particular said that she was in love with Osama bin Laden, as if bin Laden were a rock star or something. And this other guy, who first said that he dreams of going to college in the United States, then said that he wanted to go to Afghanistan and kill Americans. Oh yeah, he was wearing a Bruce Willis T-shirt. This world makes no sense whatsoever. :(:(:(:(:(

<< a bump for attention  >>

You're such an attention whore ;)

Okay...these are University kids. University kids are stupid everywhere...Besides, it doesn't fit with the hippie view that people who support Bin Laden and praise the WTC attack are but an extremist minority that should in no way be taken to represent the view of any large group of people...

He wants to wear something else other than American but there isn't. Too many things in their lives are dominated by Americans. If you were one of them would you be mad?

He's mad at America because he loves Bruce Willis movies? I don't follow your logic.

<< he wanted to go to Afghanistan and kill Americans >>

oh... you mean like how some Americans want to go kill the people in afghanistan?
each group has their own views... and objectively speaking... both sides have their own reasons for hating each other...
who's right?
well, it's none other than the majority.

who's truly right?
well, that questions is unanswerable.

I believe that the United States is a scapegoat that's blamed for everything that's bad in those countries. I think it's the same sort of scapegoating that Nazis put on the Jews. They don't seem to understand that any problems any nation has are primarily the responsibility of that nation.

There are a lot worse things in life, than a few people talking poorly of the United States..
Such as the friendly fire counts in Afghanistan...

<< If you really understood the Muslim religion, you would know why they hate. Not from what some Muslims say they believe, but from what is written in their Holy books. >>

So are you saying that the Koran teaches one to hate?

It teaches one to kill or convert those who are not Muslim. From what I have read, It teaches some things that I would consider good also. A very strange book if you ask me.

Many people hate the US as a country and despise Americans with a passion.
Few people dislike America so much as to worship Bin Laden though.

There are countries that I dislike strongly, but I'd never wish an icident like the WTC attack upon any of them.

Personally I'm not particularly fond about the US, or certain things they've done in the past, and indeed some things that they stand for.
But I also know a great many Americans that I think quite highly of, and there are numerous things about the US that I like.

One thing I'm sure of, if any of us lived in Afghanistan, we'd probably hate the US every bit as much as Bin Laden himself does. And the Afghans that despise America would likely be singing a very different tune had they been born and raised in America.
