After school.. I took subway downtown as usual with my friends to each lunch. They went off the work (coop), and I went back up town by myself. When I got to my station, I saw someone jump of into the oncomming train (other side). This happended 7 minutes ago.. I live close to the subway...

For those of you who live in toronto, this happened at the sheppard station

That has got to stick in your mind

I would not like to have that image or memory in my brain

Hope you can put it behind you

Sad that he made that choice

That's weird. a good friend of mine was standing on the corner of a busy street last saturday, waiting for the light to change so he could cross. A homeless dude walked up to him looked at the light and said, "If we stand here and wait for the light, we're gonna stand here all fvckin day!" so the guy stepped off the curb and BAM! a car nailed him and killed him instantly.

my buddy was weirded out by that...

The moral of the story: don't kill yourselves people. While it might be an incredibly fun and thrilling experience, you'll just traumatize the people around you, and you won't ever feel up to repeating the experience.

holy crap!! what an awful thing to do 🙁

when i was ten years old we took a trip to Chicago , we went into the city to visit IMSI
my dad got off the wrong exit of the interstate and we ended up in "the wrong part of town"

this big lincoln cuts off a pinto with a couple of women/kids, a guy jumps out and pulls a pistol and aims it at the car full of women/kids

the lady driving the pinto throws it into reverse and rams into a telephone pole

at this point i am looking out our back window as my dad tries to get out of the area

i see the windshield of the pinto explode as the guy starts pumping the pinto full of bullets

i won't ever forget that, never liked big cities much after that

At least he didn't have a bomb strapped to himself. You can be thankful he's not taking others too.

I can't imagine what it's like to be a train engineer. They see this stuff all the time, people sitting on the tracks waiting to get hit, etc.

Hope you are able to move on and let it go. Awful thing to have to experience I'm sure.

Sorry you had to see that... 🙁 Even more sorry that the person felt the need to kill themselves.

So sad. 🙁

That would seriously fvck me up...

That sucks.

A number of years ago, a bunch of us were riding around down at the beach and saw a car at the end of a new bridge they were building. The bridge at that point only went about 1/3 of the way out into the intracoastal waterway. We saw tail lights, then they started moving, then they went over the edge. Guy was a Marine, who if I remember correctly was upset about a separation or divorce, something of a marital nature. It was in all the papers the next day or two.
Not a fun thing to watch.

We were on one of the National Lampoon Vacations our family was also famous for. We were visiting some family in Mass on our way up from S.FL. At one point, My dad stopped to get gas, and got lost in / around NYC. He saw some cops and decided to pull over and ask them for directions back to the highway. I guess my dad wasn't clued in to the fact that the lights were on and the cops were busy because when he came back to the car (and we asked if he had directions) he said "The are in the middle of a gun fight and told me to get out of here." (or something close to that).

Dad ended up getting directions from someone as to how to get back onto the highway. It turns out that there weren't ANY signs getting you there, you just had to know where to turn. And it wasn't obvious, at least not at 3am. Fortunately, we didn't get shot up OR loose any hubcaps along the way. Funny looking back, especially after watching VACATION, but, it was very scary at the time. 😀

I never liked NYC much after that. :frown:
