Even though I've had other issues that prevented me from really studying last week...today I had NO excuse for being lazy and I always have a desire to play WOW....and just "play" it maybe 2-3 hours a day...but taht adds up to soo much
i've never seen such a freaking desire to play a game. Blizzard really did make digtal crack. Not in all my games that i have played, from the days of the NES, to my love for Final Fantasies have I had it this bad...

or maybe its always been this bad, but only now I recognize I should get my work done ;)

Anyone else had it so bad like me that they just said screw it and uninstalled it?

I don't understand how you wanted to play so much. I bought it last week and I haven't even put in an hour's worth of play yet.

its FUN thats why. And I normally have great control in playing games...hell i never touched games all last quarter...and even this quarter WOW is the only thing I play...

But get a few hours in and then you will "understand". Less than an hour's worth of play is nothing.

I cancled because I was bored mostly - plus I was leveling really slowly (only 37 at the time I quit). I knew that the PVP Patch was coming and that Battlegrounds wouldn't be included, so I figured it'd be very hard for me to get any questing done. It just wasn't fun for me anymore.

It's still installed, but only because I don't need the drive space.

I thought leveling was very quick ;) The only other MMORPG I ever got into was Ragnarok and if you wanna complain about slow leveling...talk about THAT game. I think WOW levels kind of fast...

I can't play it now evne though I have the urge, because I also gave my friend my CDs so I don't try to install it again and I would have to walk 20 minutes right now to get to him...and its night so i feel lazy ;)

Gurk- you'll come back once battlegrounds is here...I know it ;)

hehehe, i'm resisting the urge to buy it even though all my co-workers now play it, including the group that i used to play EQII with.

Thank God im not into MMOGs. Too expensive.

Actually they probably save you vast amounts of money if you really get into them. Because your life, as you know it, is over. You don't spend money on gas except for driving to work/school/whatever, you don't buy alcohol, you don't eat out, you just sit there all day and night playing the game for $15 a month and never do anything else.

Economically it's probably a huge benefit to most people. Physically and mentally it's terrible. I played EverQuest for about 3 years and while it was a LOT of fun for the first year(before Sony bought Verant and completely ruined the game), and a LOT of fun for the last few months (when a small handful of my friends and I made a guild to do whatever the hell we wanted and escaped from the lameness that was the 'uberguild'), I'm quite glad that I quit when I did, and I'm quite satisfied with the $800 that some random person paid me for my account after he randomly emailed me out of nowhere offering to buy my account. Lucky for him I was just about the cancel anyway. Lucky for me, I got paid $800 to play a game for a few years...

Anyway, I haven't played WoW, and was thinking about playing it, and then my sense of reason kicked in. If it were possible to eliminate sleep as a basic human need, then I'd definitely play it. But alas, it is not.

 I hate PvP, I think it's exceptionally boring. I quit because there was no PvE gameplay to be had anymore (on a PvE server); everyone was too busy in Hillsbrad killing each other endlessly to raid. Even a 5man group was nearly impossible to get going. From asking around, I've found there are others who share my feelings on it, but since we have no strictly PvE server(s) to condense on, and Blizzard has stated that they have no plans of implementing any, I don't see the situation improving. If anything BG will make it worse.

I cannot touch a MMORPG, because i know i would get hooked.

I have been hooked on UT2k4 for over a year now, & it alone sucks up hours upon hours of my time...
