the registration was easier than i thought.

The thing is when I mailed it out the form, it says to fold it in half, but I folded it in thirds, because if I fold it in half the post office will reject it with insufficient postage and I don't have any 12 cent stamps nor do I want to put two stamps on there, because I dont live in a swing state.

and the instructions say to put down an ethnicity, but then the state instructions say don't put anything there

i would have voted in the last election but i wasn't over 18 at the time
(ok probably not)

George W Bush: A Uniter (of people against him)

Edit: Oh and it seems homeless people will automatically be disenfranchised since they have no mailing address.

Kerry will win CA by 10 points, so your vote means jack. Welcome to the EC system, assbackwards democracy at it's best.

Hopefully a shamless Republican won't throw your vote out. Apparently it's all the rage with them.

i hope it gets in on time. I'm not sure if the county registrar has to HAVE it by today or postmarked by today.

I'm in CA as well, and I think at some point when the popular vote is massively one direction and the EC goes another direction, say... CA and NY go 90% democratic and every other state goes 51% republican, then there will be enough uproar about the E.C. to change it.

I mean, Gore already won the popular vote in 2000, but if it is more overwhelmingly so, there might be more pressure to revamp the system.

Me too today was the last day so I went to SF city hall and cast my vote now it's up to the rest of the country.
The place was packed! I took 2 hours off work to wait in line as MANY others did also.
I held up my absentee ballot to those waiting in line for theirs and yelled "One more ticket to send the Shrub home!"
100's of people cheered in that basement of city hall today :)
Kerry by a landslide baby!
