On the way to work every day i stop and buy a newspaper for everyone to read.

50 cents a paper per day

5 days a week $2.50

52 weeks a year $130.00

12 yrs $1560.00

should i ask for the money back? 😕

Holy hell....that's a lot of money for newspapers.

What I would do is go to one of them hometown type restaurants and have a slice of pie and read their newspaper for free. That way at least you get some pie or some coffee or something....and you can justify costs for food over a piece of paper with letters arranged on it.

What? I'm just saying you could stop and have breakfast or something and read the paper there....what's wrong with that? They let you...it's not like you are stealing the paper from the place...

No...he's gotta eat breakfast anyway right? You can usually get a healthy breakfast at these places...bowl of cereal or oatmeal or something. Pancakes once and while. Free newspaper too.

I'd really stop brining them. If they ask - tell them you've spent over $1500 on newspapers for them over the years and say you can't afford it anymore.

Just tell them that you no longer support media bias then.

We get the local newspaper at home just for the Ad's. lol

I do, occaisionally, actually read the paper though.

I would just subscribe (saving you a little $$) to it .. and have it delivered to work .. unless they can get it to your house by the time you leave.

Perhaps you can even talk your boss into paying for the subscription since everyone enjoys the paper.

In my old department they had subscriptions to the local daily paper, the WSJ, and the New York Times.

I would think that most people get their news from the internet these days, so not bringing it in anymore wouldn't be a big deal. You were doing them all the favor in the first place.
