i just read dfi might be dead in a year?

I think he means that DFI boards are unreliable and break easily. Pretty silly to start up a thread and rumor from a minor comment like that.

i never said it was true i was wondering if anyone new if it was true or not. im guessing the guy didnt know waht he was tlking about.

Yup that makes 2 of you. 😉

I see no evidence in the business world that Diamond Flower International is in trouble - however - acquisitions and deals happen all the time. DFI was a pioneer in the hand held optical scanner business back in the 80s. However, their 2003 sales and number of employees show them to be very puny in the business ($10M sales and 43 employees.)

DFI

hard to believe that someone who makes some of the best all around mobos is gonna be dead in a year. This DFI Ultra-D is the first DFI board I've ever owned. I haven't had a problem with it yet(knocks on wood) but so far it is by far the best look/running mobo I've ever owned in my 8-9 years of computing. Not to mention they have to sell as many if not more than any other mobo manufacturer(just a guess though).

Not mobos, but anyone remember 3DFX?😉

He's not saying that DFI the company will be dead in a year. He's just saying that since it's a DFI board, the board might be dead in ayear.
Maybe a reading comprehension class would help. 😉

The guy in the other thread was commenting that DFI is not as much of a name-brand, solid foundation company compared to ASUS.

ASUS will be around next year, you can't see them as a company that will go under
DFI is less known, but I believe that it is much better than some give credit.

A company like PC Chips and Soyo, now those companies are ones you cant be sure will be around in a year or two.
