I just ran a red light :(

I didn't even mean to. I must have been hallucinating, and I thought the light turned green. In fact, I cursed off a woman who was trying to turn, even though SHE had the right of way. As soon as I got through (after being honked at), I realized what I did...and I feel horrible/stupid. It was completely my fault, but it was unintentional.

Chances high that someone reported me?
 
You ran the red light b/c you were distracted...possibly by surfing the internet on your phone? You did post from your car, right?
 
I've done that before. Once, I was listening to some music in the car, and I remember the singer shouted "GO" in the song, and I dont know what snapped in me, but I hit the gas and ran the red light.

I accidentally made a left turn at an intersection on a red light before. The green lights to go straight are timed different from the one to turn left.. but there was no oncoming traffic and I just wasn't paying much attention.

This was right in front of the university police station. Luckily nothing happened, but damn did I feel stupid.
 
Yeah, apparently the green arrow went on, and I was into the song, and immediately saw green and thought GO. I really hope no one reports me :/.
 
Only the world's saddest person would report someone else for running a red light unless it was horrifically dangerous.
 
I witnessed something similar a couple of weeks ago. I was at a light, waiting to go straight. The light for left turn changed to green, and the car in the very front waiting to go straight just went. I was like WTF, but I don't think the driver knew what she was doing. Luckily, there weren't any cars making a left from the opposite side.
 
I've done that before. I was waiting at a red light and looking down the street into the distance. The stoplight one block ahead of me changed from red to green and I just started going. I couldn't figure out why none of the others cars moved for about five seconds. Then I felt really stupid.

I did that. back when i was 16 and not to experianced.

glad it was at night so nobody was around and no red light cameras. but i learned from it. have'nt ran a red light since.

of course having kids you tend to drive safer heh
 
At least you didn't hit anyone, don't do it again.

I one time was in the front, and I thought for some reason three lanes turned left (hey, this was like literally the day after I got my license). Light to turn turns green, and I go, and realize "oh sh-- I don't have anywhere to turn to"

I felt pretty stupid 🙁 still do, but I've never made that mistake again 🙂
 
Don't worry too much about it. It happens. I've accidentally run a red light or two when I've been super tired before.

You made a mistake, no one got hurt. It's okay--you're human!
 
few days ago, i ran a red light then i realized and stopped in the middle of intersection. i reversed back into lane. 😀
