Not nearly as creepy as it could've/should've been. And I think Robin Williams could've pulled it off.

Very mediocre, imho.

Now that i've finished watching it, not impressed with this film at all.

i wouldn't recommend it to anyone. got to be one of robin williiams worst efforts. acting sucked, plot sucked. no real suspense.

overall droll.

Wow. Some picky critics in here.

I liked it a lot, very very good acting by RW, especially from a psychological standpoint. But I don't think I could watch it again. I equate watching that movie to having someone make a tarantula sit on your arm for two hours. I never had the heebie-jeebies so bad. I think I've probably dealt with one too many creepy people.

You'll like it better if you're a film geek. "Normal" people tend not to notice what sets this film apart. ;)

i think it would have been better without the opening scene. if it had started as a sequence of normal every day events w/o any real clues as to what lies ahead.

Do not listen to all these ney sayers. Watch the friggin movie. If not for the awsome acting or the plot, look at the art in the film. You could take a still shot of any part of the movie and it would still be a beautiful picture. They made the colors so vibrant and deep. Just wach it.

The movie friggin' rocked. I went to the move with to girl friends of mine and they were nearly shittin' their pants b/c of Robin and his creepiness. The scene with him at the hotel towards the end just made me go.:Q

But as stated above, the artistic quality of this movie is also a major character in my book. The artistic style just jumps out at you.

I thought it was a VERY good movie. Nothing spectacular, but a VERY good movie. I loved it so much that I bought it the day it came out on DVD.

Thanks for the review Dudre.I've always liked Robin Williams and think it would be interesting to see him in a film that shows off more of his acting range.

Knew a guy in HS... had a huge crush on her... (I think Gladiator came out my senior year of hs) He knew everything about her.. and he wasnt a loser guy.. 6'2..smart(goes to waterloo university in canada), built... but his one weakness was that lady... man.. talk about obsession.
